They made them easier to hit to prevent 'blobbing', but it nerfs any sane attempt for a long IS to capture territory in the open, make small shifts to cover, or make cover. It lacks any other defining role that the mediums get - the cheapness of the t34, the MGs of the Panzer IV, the ammo typing of the Sherman that lets it Anti Infantry, or the OKW P4 which is on par with the doctrinal mediums.Īnd yeah, Infantry Sections have been nerfed for the wrong reasons. I also think you're supposed to use the Churchill or Comet to engage, then run the Cromwell around to rear end. I think its only purpose is to support other tanks and generally be mobile enough to respond to threats across the map. That makes it impossible for the Cromwell to actually leverage its better medium tank mobility and you can only watch as it misses mediums regularly unless you're at a range more reminiscent to t34 ramming.Įven with its better mobility, yeah, its no longer the crush god. I've been somewhat out of the loop as far as the real nitty gritty of Cromwell balancing goes, but I think the biggest nerf was the change long ago from 75% moving accuracy to 50%.
